Lake Dirty Dancing 2010

It was another fun year at Lake Lure. This year Jim joined the chaos so there were 19 of us total...sheesh! It was a week packed full of swimming, sun, tennis, exploring caverns, and of course...playing MOFIA! Or, Mothia, in the words of Ben. Here are a few highlights...already looking forward to next summer.
This is the view from the deck of Graystone Manor. We stayed at a new house this year. It was HUGE!!!
Told ya...
Ben wondering what he's doing in the middle of all these girls.

Lake Lure is absolutely beautiful first thing in the morning.
Nevin helped the kids come up with a skit for evening entertainment. Mason was the owner of a candy shop. He didn't have any M&Ms, Reeses, Starbursts...nothing good at all. BUT, he did have two suckers on a stick...
Cruising around the lake
Ben's silly face
A view of the mountains from the boat
And again.
Dad turned 61 while we were at the lake. We came up with a new tradition--when your birthday digits add up to 7, you have to do the Macarena. He picked up some pretty good tips from Ben.
Tennis time!
Kelsey, Shelby, Mason, Kayla, Sydney, Ben, and Emma hanging out before going into Linville Caverns...they are all growing up so fast!
Cuteness.
This is inside Linville Caverns. Some forms of plant life have adapted and can live in the dark...looks gross!
Kinda creepy in here, huh Jim??
Tight space!
This is just really cool.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL sunset.
Ben was a flying squirrel for the week. He needed chip clips to make his wings just perfect.
Hanging out on the deck.
I love this picture.
Kelsey was the flying squirrel master.
One good-looking family.
